Bentleigh Early Child Education Co-operative prides itself on the high quality and commitment of our Educators at the centre.
Our low staff turnover enables children and families to feel safe and secure in the consistent and familiar environment and our Educator to child ratio exceeds the current regulations, which delivers exceptional quality care and education for all children.
Our values are reflected in the importance we place on the education and knowledge of our Educators, in whereby the qualifications per ratio exceed the current regulations. Our Educators hold various qualifications such as a Bachelor of Education, Diploma in Children’s Services or Certificate 3 in Children’s services.
All permanent part-time, full-time and casual Educators hold current certificates in First Aid, CPR, Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis/Epi pen training. Qualified Educators in each child’s room hold a current level 1 certificate in Food Safety and both our Chef and Centre Coordinator hold Level 2 Food Safety certificates. We ensure that all certificates are maintained and kept up to date at all times.
Bentleigh Early Child Education Co-operative (BECEC) has achieved successful accreditation through the National Child Care Accreditation Council (NCAC) and awaiting our time to move through the National Quality Standard however we are currently recognised by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
BECEC will continue to review centre policies and procedures on a monthly basis as part of an approved process agreed to by Families, Educators and the Board of Management.
